Our story

The story behind Ruchti Drywall

Ruchti Drywall, Inc. was founded in 1977 by Donald Ruchti and is now carried on by his son and grandson as a triple-generation company. This family-owned and operated business runs on hard work, dedication, and strong values.

How it All Got Started

From the back of a Pontiac to becoming a top rated Drywall company.

Our Company

Ruchti Drywall was founded by Donald Ruchti after losing his job in the textured ceiling industry. Not knowing what to do, Donald landed on something familiar, drywall. He purchased his first set of tools and got started out of the back of his rusted out 1968 Pontiac Bonneville. Donald quickly realized he needed help and recruited his son, Butch Ruchti, who would come to work after school (yes, he was still in high school!) It wasn't long before the pair realized they had a knack for the trade. They soon built a reputation based on their quality craftsmanship and outstanding work ethic which continues today.

Donald and Butch run Minnesota's first spray truck.
